What each video tells us
Confirmed Trailer 1 was the public reveal and named the original launch platforms. Trailer 2 expanded Rockstar’s official marketing for the game, but its release announcement by itself does not establish new mechanical details. The official GTA VI site supplies the confirmed character and Leonida descriptions that help explain the setting shown around the trailers.
Analysis Across the published material, Rockstar emphasizes Jason and Lucia and the contrast between Vice City’s sunny image and a darker criminal story. That is a reading of Rockstar’s own premise and tone, not a claim about undisclosed missions or systems. How An Extended Look premiered
Confirmed Rockstar announced An Extended Look on August 6. The scheduled Netflix premiere was August 27 at 3 p.m. ET, followed by availability on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and official GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET. Rockstar’s August 27 post confirmed it was available on both. Its description says the footage was captured entirely from in-game PS5 footage.
“Captured from in-game PS5 footage” is a source description. It is not an official frame-rate target, final performance guarantee, or technical breakdown. The PlayStation Store’s “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label is likewise not a performance specification. See the platform guide for the exact announced hardware.
Is there a GTA 6 Trailer 3?
Confirmed Not under that name. Rockstar’s official video releases for GTA VI are Trailer 1, Trailer 2, and An Extended Look; Rockstar has not titled anything “Trailer 3” in its own Newswire posts as of September 25, 2026. An Extended Look is the most recent official video, and Rockstar treats it as its own release rather than a numbered follow-up to Trailer 2.
If you see a video labeled “GTA 6 Trailer 3” elsewhere, check whether it links back to a dated Rockstar Newswire post or the official GTA VI site before treating it as real. Fan edits and reposts sometimes borrow trailer numbering that Rockstar itself never used.

Why we separate announcements from observation
Analysis A trailer can convey setting, mood and characters without serving as a specification sheet. The dated Newswire posts confirm when Rockstar released each video. The first reveal confirms its original platform and release-window language. The Extended Look post confirms the PS5 footage capture statement. Beyond that, viewers can read a tone from the imagery, but a short edited video cannot establish map dimensions, mission design or final performance. We label a broad interpretation as analysis so it cannot be mistaken for a Rockstar promise.
The distinction also matters for older footage. Trailer 1’s 2025 wording was superseded by two later date announcements.
