Short answer: Confirmed Rockstar has introduced eight GTA VI character entries: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder. Jason and Lucia are the protagonists, as of September 25, 2026.

Jason and Lucia

Confirmed Jason Duval grew up around grifters and crooks, spent time in the Army, and worked for local drug runners in the Keys. Rockstar introduces him as someone seeking an easier life while circumstances keep complicating it. Lucia Caminos learned to fight from her father, was imprisoned at Leonida Penitentiary after fighting for her family, and is now planning her next move. Rockstar connects her ambitions to the better life her mother imagined after their time in Liberty City.

Rockstar’s main game description says an easy score goes wrong and draws Jason and Lucia into a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida. That is Rockstar’s published story premise. “Eight” counts Rockstar’s eight character entries; Real Dimez is a duo made up of Bae-Luxe and Roxy. These entries are not a complete cast list. A character’s presence on an official page does not establish whether they are playable.

Connections Rockstar has named

Confirmed Jason knows Cal, and Cal is associated with Brian. Brian lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties. Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan invested in Only Raw Records, which signed Real Dimez. These connections come from Rockstar’s bios.

Analysis The bios place characters across street-level crime, music, and life in the Keys. They establish a wider social setting around Jason and Lucia, but they do not reveal the order or outcome of events. The official trailer timeline shows when Rockstar released more material without treating viewer theories as facts.

What hasn’t been announced

Why the official bios are limited

Analysis Rockstar’s character cards are introductions, not full biographies. They sketch Jason’s past, Lucia’s ambitions, and several links among people in the Keys and Vice City. They do not reveal the complete plot, the order in which characters appear, or who survives. Keeping those limits visible helps readers learn the cast without being pushed into speculation or spoilers.

Real Dimez illustrates another small counting issue. Rockstar gives the duo one named profile while identifying Bae-Luxe and Roxy as its members. That is why this guide says eight official entries rather than pretending there are only eight individual people. The protagonist designation is firmer: Rockstar’s main description and character material center Jason and Lucia. The other profiles give context around them, but an official card does not establish playable status. After launch, we plan to verify any guide claims about character appearances through direct gameplay rather than infer them from marketing copy.
