Short answer: Not announced Grand Theft Auto VI has not been announced for Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. Rockstar names only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Take-Two’s August 7, 2026 product table lists the same two platforms with no Nintendo entry, as of September 25, 2026.

What’s actually announced

Confirmed Rockstar’s GTA VI page and its support article on platforms, editions, and versions both name PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the announced platforms, and nothing else. Take-Two Interactive’s Fiscal Q1 2027 earnings release, dated August 7, 2026, lists the same two platforms in its official product schedule for Grand Theft Auto VI. That table matters here because it’s the closest thing to an official platform list Take-Two publishes, and it names GTA VI directly rather than speaking in general terms. When a specific game row lists two platforms and nothing more, that’s the current, checkable status.

Has Nintendo Switch 2 been mentioned?

Not announced No, not by Rockstar, Take-Two, or Nintendo. Rockstar’s support article, its Newswire, and the PlayStation and Xbox store listings all name only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no Switch or Switch 2 reference anywhere in that material as of September 25, 2026. Nintendo has not issued a statement connecting itself to the game either.

Some earlier Rockstar titles reached Nintendo hardware only well after their original console release, and some never did at all. That history shows a later announcement is possible in principle, but it is not a schedule, and it is not evidence for this specific game.
